FAREWELL TO OLD FENTON HIGH SCHOOL ---JULY 1900

In tribute our hearts at you chained doors lie
While time and circumstance unbind the tie,
Aged alma mater so sweet and so true
Alumni lament at this demise of you.

Our fond fare-thee-well to dear Fenton High
Adieu, good old school, we grieve as you die,
Long gone study hall with slant-floor of wood
Demolition's call attacked where you stood.

Great tubular slide down the north side wall
Destroyed on command; yet we still recall,
Bye-Bye stage and gym with metal stairs nigh
Salute, Fenton High. Farewell and good-bye.
